Teachers left passwords on paper at Snow Canyon High School
by The Uni-Hacker on May.16, 2008, under Security
Teachers at the Snow Canyon High School left computer system password written on a piece of paper. Two students found the piece of paper and used the passwords to gain access to the schools grade system at which point they charged their fellow students up to $25 for a better grade. Both students were booked into detention centers while the investigation goes on.
No word has been given as to why the teachers were writing sensitive information down on paper and leaving it around for someone to find. A malicious hackers could have easily done some near irreversible damage to a lot of students. The teachers should be charged with negligence.
Yet another easy hack because of stupidity.
