How to get free long distance phone calls. Skype, WiFi.

Do I have your attention? Good, because what you are about to hear is pretty dang cool. With a service called Skype you can make free long distance phone calls to other Skype users. Skype isn’t just a voice messenger over the Internet, it’s practically an Internet standard for Voice of Internet. For just $2.95 per month you can call a REAL telephone number anywhere in the United States and Canada. For $9.95 per month you can call to more than 30 countries world wide, and it’s unlimited calling.

Skype can be found on dedicated devices that work just like phones, computers and my favorite, the PSP. The PSP comes with Skype so that you can make calls right from your play station portable. Skype can be installed on Windows, Linux and Apple based computers, you just have to download and install the client.

Imagine, $2.95 to call anywhere in the U.S., and pretty much from any Skype client. If you have Internet at home, this would be a create way to make a virtual land line. Remember, Skype give you a phone number as well, which will never change for as long as you hold the service. This means you can get a land line in your home and not have to pay huge telecom fees.
