Speed up gaming in Windows XP
by The Uni-Hacker on Jan.04, 2009, under Gaming
If you’re a gamer you probably want to have the most optimized Windows XP operating system to play your games. Windows XP by default has many performance hindering options set which greatly reduces the performance of your games under Windows XP. Below are some basic tweaks to Windows XP which should help with the performance of your gaming. These tweaks are for Windows XP only and do not apply to Windows Vista.
Defragging
Defragging your hard drive on a regular basis can greatly increase overall performance of your computer. Right clicking any hard drive will give you a tools menu for defragging the drive.
Turn off effects
All the little start menu fades, sounds and effects use system memory and resources. Turn these off under your display options.
Optimize Virtual memory
On computers with less memory Windows XP will use hard drive space as if it were memory. Upgrade the RAM in your system to prevent Windows from using hard drive space as memory.

Windows 7 optimized for gaming?
by The Uni-Hacker on Jan.03, 2009, under Gaming
Windows 7 has been released to the world to try as it shows up on torrents all over the Internet. First off impressions say that the new operating system seems to be quick, however man testers also complained that the new task bar does too much. ISO files are available for download, so look’em up.
Word on the street says Microsoft leaked Windows 7 themselves providing downloads as a means of beta testing. Leaking your own software can be a good way to get people excited about the new operating system, provided that the beta works better than Vista.
If Windows 7 is just a re-worked Vista, they can count on people not wanting to purchase the operating system.
PSP-4000. PSP2 all rumor.
by The Uni-Hacker on Dec.25, 2008, under Gaming
There have been rumors floating around the Internet that Sony is in the works of a second generation PSP. Sony denies the idea and says they have “no plans” for another PSP. This is a huge disappointment to the gaming and hacking community. The original PSP is probably one of the most hack-able game machines on the net letting your run game ISO’s, WEP WiFi crackers and more.
On a side not, there are no plans in releasing a crack for the 4.05 PSP software upgrade.
Taylor Swift sites hacked.
by The Uni-Hacker on Nov.12, 2008, under Gaming, News
Country music singer Taylor Swift is speaking out about her MySpace page being hacked into.
Everything looks fine now, but Swift wrote in a new blog post, “I just love it when they hack in and delete my pictures and change my top friends and wreak other various forms of havoc. Not.”
It appears that she has been hacked by a social engineer. There is so much information about these celebrities that anyone could use the password recovery tool to reset passwords.
Obama’s Email Hacked?
by The Uni-Hacker on Oct.02, 2008, under Gaming, News, Security
I’ve seen some reports that Obama’s email has been hacked. Screenshots show conversations between McCain and Obama, but is this legit? Looking at the email address the Gmail account appears to be a barry.obama1961@gmail.com. I find it hard to believe Obama picked an email address like this. No official word has been released from the Obama campaign regarding this matter. I suspect this is a hoax.

by The Uni-Hacker on Oct.02, 2008, under Gaming, IT, News
The PS3 EYE, a webcam for your Playstion 3, has been hacked to work with windows. Some hackers developed a driver to let the cam be used on windows. The camera can push a wopping 60fps with USB 2.0 at full VGA, not to bad for a camera that is useless on the Playstation.
